Hidden Valleys Of Manaslu
Exploring Sacred Valleys & High Passes
Manaslu Circuit, Tsum Valley & Rupina La
Overview
Located in Nepal’s Northern Himalayan Range, just 100 km northwest of Kathmandu, lies the mighty Manaslu Massif, home to Mt. Manaslu (8,163m), the 8th highest mountain on Earth.
Our Giants Of The Himalaya expedition goes beyond the standard trail. We combine the classic high-pass challenge of the Manaslu Circuit with two incredible offbeat extensions: camping through the wild Rupina La Pass (4,720m) and trekking deep into the sacred, ancient Tsum Valley.
Over 21 days, we move from lush forested lowlands up through high alpine passes over 5,000 meters, crossing remote Tibetan valleys where traditional culture remains untouched. If you are looking for a raw, pioneering Himalayan journey, this is it.

Weather Conditions
Outside of the monsoon season, weather in Nepal is usually very stable, and heavy rain is rare during our May trips. Still, mountain weather can always surprise us, so having the right gear is essential.
We will be spending and sleeping at higher elevations for a large part of this journey, where cold exposure becomes a real factor. With several nights above 4,000 meters, temperatures will drop below freezing after sunset. A good down jacket, proper layers, and warm sleeping gear are a must.
